Yunus Emre Foundation is a public foundation, which was founded under the law dated 05.05.2007 and numbered 5653 to promote Türkiye, Turkish language, its history and culture and art, make such related information and documents available for use in the world, provide services abroad to people who want to have education in the fields of Turkish language, culture and art, to improve the friendship between Türkiye and other countries and increase the cultural exchange.
Yunus Emre Institute, as an organization affiliated with the Foundation, aims to achieve the objectives of this Law by establishing centers abroad. In addition to teaching Turkish to foreigners, it carries out cultural and artistic activities to promote Türkiye, and also supports scientific research.
Yunus Emre Institute, which began its activities in 2009, has over 80 cultural centers abroad. In addition to the Turkish language education provided at these centers, collaborations with educational institutions in different countries support the departments of Turkish studies and Turkish language teaching. Through these cultural centers, many events are organized to promote our culture and art, and our country is represented at both national and international events.
